Q: Do you offer a free version of this software, so I can try it out first?
A: Yes! Please see the "Lite/Free" at the link Pricing & Download section above.
Q: Can I make my own commercial puzzle book with these puzzles and sell my book without royalty or copyright issues?
A: Yes you can... Any puzzles you create using my software are completely yours to give away or sell. I don't require royalty payments or "commercial rights" forms. You don't even need to mention my software in your product, though you are welcome to!
Q: Can I save the puzzles as PDF (or SVG or PNG) files instead of printing them?
A: Yes you can... Open your puzzle in Sudoku Publisher and choose the "File:Export:" menu and choose to export just the puzzle and solution key as your favorite file format.
Q: If I save a puzzle document, then later re-open it, will it keep the same solution?
A: Yes, if you open a saved document, it will be laid out exactly the same way that you saved it.
Q: Are the puzzles "well-formed", with a single unique solution?
A: Yes, each puzzle is checked for uniqueness, so there is only one guaranteed solution for it.*
Q: Is each puzzle fresh, and different from other puzzles I create from this software? That is, do you cheat and simply re-use puzzles from a small internal list?
A: Each time you press the BUILD button, I start a fresh puzzle from a "random roll-of-the-dice", so that each one is built from scratch, and is different from any others. I also create and display the "Puzzle ID" for each puzzle, which is a unique "serial number" for each puzzle and its solution. The good news is that you are ensured of bazillions of puzzles to use, each one unique. The bad news is that since I don't cheat and re-use pre-computed puzzle list, I must build and calculate and double-check each puzzle, which can take from a few seconds to a few minutes to make a single puzzle.*
Q: Is this an interactive game I play on the computer?
A: Not really, this is designed to print puzzles and their solutions, or export them as image files. However, you can generate a puzzle and display the candidates and the steps to solve on-screen.
Q: Do you embed ads in your software?
A: Never. None of my software has advertisements.
Q: Do you limit how many puzzles can be created in your software?
A: Never. My software will always allow you to make as many as you need, forever.
Q: Does your software run on Windows, Linux/Android, iPad/iPhone?
A: No. As just one person I focus on delivering the best native product on one platform.
Q: Will this software get new features and bug fixes? For free?
A: Yes! People will sometimes e-mail me with a suggestion, feature, or bug report, and I do my best to update the software as quickly as I can. New updates will get published to the App Store for you to get for free.

* Without being too critical or pointing fingers, I would ask that you carefully do your research when choosing a Sudoku-builder, because there are many other products out there that offer you multi-solution, invalid, or recycled puzzles.
